Oh my poor neglected blog.........I'm still here. The last few months have been crazy and I think we spent more days away from home in January then we spent at it! We're finally slowing down though and I've got lots to share. I'm so excited for the New Year and can't wait to see what 2011 holds even though we are already 1 month down. A couple weeks ago I had the opportunity to shoot beside the amazing Angie Monson of Simplicity Photography. To say I had fun would be an enormous understatement! I had a blast and learned a ton! Thanks Angie for sharing your knowledge, advice, yummy chocolate and conversation that included "pizza dough" and plastic surgery:) Angie's work is incredible to say the least and I hope to one day be half as great at photography as she is!!!! I have been flooding Cass with tons of questions and she even let me tag along for a photo shoot, which was a ton of help!! Now I really need photoshop!!! I am looking for CS3 or CS4. If you know someone who is selling a used version let me know!! I need the MAC version. A big thanks to Payton for putting up with all of my requests no matter how ridiculous they seem to her (look down but keep your chin up, do your real smile, ok now look serious but don't frown) poor kid!!! Isn't she a doll?

I have been talking about taking the girls to the zoo all summer and today I decided to stop talking and start doing!!!!! It was fun to get out and enjoy the nice weather. We also stopped at Funland before we left. Do you remember that place? It brought back grade school memories and no it has not changed one bit. I was a little nervous on the Ferris Wheel. It is a rickety old piece but Payton loved it. Halle didn't move a muscle. I think she was scared to death!!

Halle Babe Turns One!!!

It's been one month since Halle turned one, so this post is late, very late, but here are the highlights of Halle's 1st Birthday!! The weather had been so crappy the week prior to Halle's birthday that I thought my plan of having her birthday party on our deck would definitely not happen. When I woke up that morning, the weather was gorgeous and I thought yeah lucky day!!! I waited until about 3 that afternoon to start decorating and so far so good. I hung about 15 tissue paper pom poms from the top of the overhang, hung up the happy birthday poster, tied the balloons to our porch pillars, set up tables and chairs, etc. At 5 minutes to six (the party started at six mind you), the wind picked up and the weather went crazy. We quickly threw everything in the basement and my 3 hours of decorating was done in vain!!!! You'd think you could pretty much guarantee good weather for a June birthday party, but not here!! Her party turned out great regardless and we love our little one year old more than words can say!!!

We celebrated Memorial Day weekend with Greg's family and had a blast!!! We had a barbeque Saturday night and the kids enjoyed playing with cousins and making smores. Monday we had our annual Price family breakfast and visited the Milo Cemetery. Greg and I also had our first experience with Rock Band where we found out Greg is pretty good on vocals and I may have missed my calling in life as a DRUMMER!!!!

Payton concluded her first year of dance with a recital on May 13th at the Civic Auditorium and let me just tell you, this girl is a performer!!! She was a star to say the least. She danced to "IF YOU'RE HAPPY AND YOU KNOW IT" and she did perfect!!! She was the best one in her class and yes we were so proud!!!!!

And I'm not talking Twitter people! This morning at about 11 a.m. I was at the sink making Halle a bottle when I heard this rustling near the back door. "Payton???" I asked. "What mom?" I heard her voice reply from down the hallway to her bedroom. Ok the noise is not Payton. I was afraid to look but I did and there perched on the top of my blinds was a BIRD!!!! I quickly abandoned the bottle making and ran for my phone. Greg is usually within a couple of miles of our house at all times and I was not getting near that thing. I was frantic and in a panic but Greg was not in a position to come right that second. What?!!!! He told me if I wasn't brave enough to go near the bird and open the back door then I would just have to go hide in my room until he could get there. And then he kept asking me pointless questions like, "How big is the bird?", like that matters just get here!!! He tried to motivate me by telling me to get it out before it pooped on my decorations!! Right when I hung up the bird made a dash from under the kitchen table to the living room love seat. I was in the office so I quickly opened the front door and about 10 seconds later, whoosh, the bird flapped out of here like a bat out of well, you get the idea. The crazy thing is this has happened before. About three years ago while living in the old farm house we awoke to a bird in our bedroom!!! What are the chances??? We are currently enjoying our afternoon BIRD FREE!!!!

I know this post is a little past due, but we did celebrate Easter this year and I wanted to share some cute pictures of my favorite girls!! We had a great holiday and enjoyed the beautiful weather Easter Sunday provided. Payton loved all of the Easter egg hunts and even got to hug the Easter bunny on our not so successful hunt at Broulims (Payton came home with one egg!!). She managed to get quite the basket full however at an egg hunt at my Grandma's. Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!!

I had to decorate for the Relief Society Birthday dinner a couple of weeks ago and have been wanting to share these fun decorations I found ever since. If any of you have ever had to do a church project you know you never get much of a budget. While searching around on the internet for cheap decorations I came across these darling pom pom balls!!! They are made out of tissue paper and they were so easy to make!! They would be so cute for a baby shower, bridal shower, birthday party, holiday, or even in a kids bedroom. DISNEY ON ICE

Last weekend we took Payton to Disney on Ice in Salt Lake and she loved it. She has been sooo excited from the day we received her "seat tickets" in the mail. She was on the edge of her chair the entire time!! I do have one complaint about those things however, the expensive souveniers!!!!! They walk up and down the aisles trying to sell all the trinket junk during the intermission of the show and if you think you're getting out of there without one, you're wrong!! From the time Payton saw the Little Mermaid glow up wand it was over! I tried to use the "I don't think I have enough money" trick, but Payton is too smart for that one. "Just use your debit card mom!" So $18 later we are out of the building with the happiest little 4 year old on earth!! It was worth it though, just look at how pleased she is!!!!

Fun Filled February

OK people, where did the time go???? Can you believe we are already starting the 2nd week of March?? 2009 is flying by. Here is a look at what we've been up to the past month.

SUPERBOWL

We enjoyed a Superbowl Party at our house with Greg's friends and their wives. We ate yummy fajitas compliments of Vic and Mel along with the typical Superbowl junk food. It was fun catching up with everyone and I'm so mad at myself for not taking any pictures!!!

VALENTINE'S DAY
Payton was so excited for Valentine's Day!! She loved her balloons and delivering treats. We spent most of the day eating!! We had heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, munched on yummy treats we made for friends and family and went to dinner that night.

JAZZ GAME AND DISCOVERY GATEWAY

Greg got box seats to the Celtics/Jazz game thanks to Vic!! We decided to make a weekend out of it and take the kids to Discovery Gateway. It was so much fun! Payton had a blast playing on all of the fun toys, anchoring the evening news, reporting the weather on the giant green screen, and flying in the life flight helicopter.

My friend Cassie just purchased a new camera and photoshop program and asked me if she could come practice on Halle. She needed an immobile baby to figure out settings, lighting, etc. I of course agreed and we had a blast having our own little photoshoot. She did such a great job and I had to share some of the results!!!

{A Look Back}

The last couple of months have been crazy! We've been so busy with our trip to Jerusalem, settling into our new house and all that moving entails (packing boxes, unpacking boxes, cleaning, organizing, decorating), and Christmas. If that wasn't enough for some crazy reason I decided to pick up a bunch of shifts at work through the month of December. Life has been hectic to say the least. It is finally slowing down however and we are enjoying the new year and looking forward to the wonderful possibilities that 2009 holds. As you may have noticed, I have not posted for awhile and so here it is, the mother of all posts!! A compilation of all that you have missed in the last 2 months and {a look back} at our 2008!! It was a year of fun and exciting changes for our little family!

{FAMILY HIGHLIGHTS}

We welcomed {Halle McKay} into our family on June 3rd. She has been the best little baby and we've had so much fun watching her grow.

We finished building {our first home} and spent our first night there on Dec. 13th. We wanted to be in before Christmas and made it just in the nick of time.

Greg and I enjoyed an amazing {trip to Jerusalem} with his family. It was an eye opening experience that neither one of us will soon forget.

We had a six hour lay over in New York, so we hopped on the Subway and took a ride to Time Square. It was a quick trip, long enough to eat a hot dog, buy a purse from a street vendor and snap a few pictures. We can't wait to go back!!

We celebrated our {5 year anniversary} on December 27th and also our 10 year "since we met" anniversary. Here we are 2 kids and a house later and still loving it! It's been an amazing ride!

Halle is almost 5 1/2 months old and I cannot believe how quickly she is growing up. She is the sweetest little baby. She's happy 99% of the time and I could not have asked for a better little girl. She is so content! I realized that I have not shared many pictures of her and thought I better put some on before we leave on our 10 day trip and my blogging once again comes to a halt. I'll be the first to admit it has not been the best lately. Good news though, we have carpet and our house will be finished before we leave!! We have decided to save the moving process for when we get home. We'd rather start the mess when we get back instead of coming home to it. I can hardly wait! Sorry there are so many pictures, I tried to narrow it down(:

For Halloween this year, I had to go with a theme. I couldn't resist! Payton was Little Bo Peep and Halle was her sheep. They were adorable in their coordinating costumes. We celebrated all week with Music Makers, Dance and of course Halloween night. Payton had a blast making Halloween cookies at my moms and loved decorating them with as many candy corns as she could fit. I was hoping to be in our house by now and was disappointed that my cute Halloween decorations will have to wait until next year!

I can't believe I'm this far behind on my blogging! I haven't posted for over two months. I have so much to catch you up on but this will have to hold you over for now. A couple of weeks ago Rachael's mom had a baby shower for her in Rigby. It was so fun seeing Rach and Leighton and of course getting our little babies together. I forgot my camera of course, so here are some pictures I stole from Rachael's blog (I hope you don't mind Rach).

I know this post is so late and I have so much to catch up on. This no internet bit is starting to drive me crazy!! We had a busy 4th of July weekend with a bridal shower for Greg's sister Allison, the 4th and Halle's blessing. We celebrated the 4th with your typical activities...parade, fireworks, and lunch with the fam. Payton loved the fireworks and Halle slept through them of course. It was so nice to have a day with Greg! The 4th is one of my favorite holidays and it didn't disappoint.

Halle McKay Price

Born on June 3rd, 2008 at Mountain View Hospital

7 lbs. 5 oz. and 21 inches long.

Here she is! Our baby girl was born on June 3rd at 10:20 pm. The delivery was quick and easy and we are so grateful for her safe entry into the world. It is crazy how something so small can bring so much joy! She is an adorable baby and we love her to death! Payton is an awesome big sister and loves helping with whatever she can. She is great at fetching diapers, wipes, binkies, etc. and she is anxious to teach her about everything she knows. I'm sure life with two kids is tough at times but right now I am loving it. We feel so blessed to have two beautiful daughters to love.

Some of you may have noticed that I have not posted anything for over a month! As most of you know, we have spent the last 9 months as homeless children living with mom and dad. We are currently living with Greg's parents and do not have internet access, which has been good and bad. I never realized how much time I spent online until I couldn't anymore. Our family is doing well and patiently waiting for this new little girl to make her entrance into the world. I went to the Dr. today and hopefully within the next couple days she will be here. We are so excited and can't wait to see her!! I will have more updates soon!!!

This past month we welcomed two new beautiful babies into the world. Greg's sister Hollie had a little girl named Preslie and Cassie and Lorin had a girl named Paisley. Payton loved holding both of them and I'm so excited to see how she reacts to her new baby sister. I think she is going to be quite the little mother figure!

SOMEDAY!!!! We have finally started on our new house and it is so exciting to watch what seemed so far away finally becoming a reality. We know that the framing phase goes fairly quickly and then it can be slow moving from there, but we are optimistic and are hoping to be finished as soon as possible. I will keep you updated on the progress.

Let Your Hair Down

I very seldom do Payton's hair down. It has gotten so long but it gets in her way when she is trying to play, so we pretty much stick to the ponies. I snapped some pictures of her before it was destroyed. She looks so grown up. Where did the time go???

Spring Fever!!

We are so tired of being cooped up in the house as I'm sure many of you are. This winter seems like it's never going to end! Last week I took Payton to the Toddler Open Gym at the Idaho Falls Training Center for a change of pace. She had a blast! You pay 5 dollars and your child gets to play on all of the equipment in the gym. Payton loved the "bean", jumping on the tramp and swinging into the pit. Eastern Idaho does not have much to offer in the area of kids activities, but I recommend this to anyone who has a toddler. It is for ages 1-6 and is on Friday mornings from 10-12.

There was one nice day last week that was warm enough for a bike ride around the neighborhood. I can't wait for more days like that. Spring cannot come fast enough!!

Ain't No Thing Like a Chicken Wing!

Greg and I were Easter shopping at Walmart and we came across the most disgusting thing. On a shelf next to the Easter baskets was a greasy fried chicken bone. Who in the world takes their fried chicken into WalMart, finishes it while shopping and decides, "I'll just leave the bone on this shelf." Some people have so much nerve. Is it really that hard to find a garbage can? Only at Walmart!

Puppy Love

Payton loves my sister's dog Tage. He is the cutest thing! She learned how to pick him up and loves to carry him under her arm. She is always concerned when she hears him whining while he is locked out on the porch. She'll say, "I think we need to let Tage out so he stops squeaking!"

I was Husband Tagged! Here's a look at how our lives together began!

What is his name? Gregory Kent Price, although there were some others considered--Weston and Digby. Digby from Rigby??

How long have you been married? 4 years

How long did you date? We dated for 3 years before his mission, I wrote him for two years, and then we dated 6 months before we got married. We started dating in October of 98 so this fall we'll have been together 10 years!!! Crazy!

How old is he? 26

Who eats more sweets? Probably me lately. I have been craving Reese's Blizzards from DQ and E.L Fudge cookies. He says he does though. We both have a big sweet tooth. We eat way too many treats!!

Who said I love you first? He did, but I replied with I love you too. It was a few months after we started dating. We knew from very early on that we were meant for eachother.

Who is taller? He is.

Who can sing better? Neither one of us is going to win a Grammy, but probably me. I enjoy singing even though I'm not that great. Although he does a pretty good rendition of "American Woman" and a Mormon Tabernacle worthy performance of "Joseph the Seer".

Who is smarter? I got better grades in school but Greg was academic student of the month his Senior year of High School, which was an accomlishment never achieved by any of his sisters or by me. He's pretty proud of that. I have a college degree and Greg doesn't. College was not his thing. We both catch on to things quickly and have pretty good street smarts.

Who does the laundry? I do, but Greg washes his work clothes. Cow poop stinks!!!

Who pays the bills? I pay them, but Greg keeps track of all our finances in a little black book (paychecks, how much tithing we owe and interest we make).

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Me

Who mows the lawn? Both of us have done it in the past, but probably him more than me.

Who cooks dinner? Me- but he does better at scrambled eggs and if we are having steak he always cooks it.

Who drives? Greg- it just comes with being a man, doesn't it?

Who is more stubborn? Most people would say Greg, because I am a pushover with most other people, but when it comes to him--I'm just as stubborn. Neither one of us likes to admit that we're wrong or give in.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me and claims I played hard to get, but I'm pretty sure our first kiss was within the first couple weeks we had been dating. Too long for a boy to wait I guess. It happened in Marshall's car on the way home from a football game.

Who asked who out first? The first time we ever hung out his friends set it up for me to go with them to Denny's after a football game. I was on the dance team at the time and had performed that night. My hair was in an unflattering bun and I was wearing an oversized Pepsi sweatshirt. Given Greg's love for Pepsi, maybe that won him over. We talked in the High School parking lot for hours after that and we've been together ever since.

Who proposed? He did. It didn't take us long to decide that we were going to get married. He got home from his mission and about two weeks later we were planning a date. We got engaged on September 29th, 2003. I didn't think it was going to happen when it did because we had not found my ring yet. I gave Greg specific instructions on what I wanted and that I wanted to pick it out. Turns out he went against my wishes and with some help from his sister picked out a ring that I absolutely loved!!

Who has more siblings? He does. There are 7 kids in his family, 3 in mine.

Who wears the pants? We probably each have one leg in. We both play a pretty equal role in our relationship.

Our Valentine's Day was pretty uneventful. Greg and I went to dinner and Payton celebrated by attending Music Makers, eating a delicious sugar cookie compliments of Aunt Natalie and picking out a new Diego helicopter at Toys R Us. Hope everyone had a great day!!!

Snow Day!!!

Last weekend we took Payton sledding behind the four wheeler at Greg's parents. She was terrified of it at first only wanting Greg to pull her with his hands, but she toughened up and finally got on with Greg while I pulled them. Her cousins came later and had a ball. It was nice to have a day that was warm enough and when I say warm it was only about 30 degrees, but compared to 0 it was nice!

Today I had my 20 week ultrasound. We took Payton with us and she was more interested with the goop on my belly than what was happening on the screen. We were already pretty sure it was a girl because of my 17 week ultrasound but today confirmed it. It was so fun to see her kick her little legs and wave her hand. She even yawned a couple of times. It's crazy to think that a little human can grow and develop inside of your belly. It made me realize what a miracle having a baby is. What an amazing blessing!

Best Friend: I have a lot of great friends, but if I had to pick just one person it would definitely be Greg. He's there for me through it all.
Cake or Pie: Cake for sure! Better than "Almost Anything" cake is my favorite.
Day of Choice: I don't really have one, but any day when Greg can spend most of the day with us and we spend quality time as a family.
Essential Item: Right now for me its lotion. My skin is so dry! The Idaho winter and pregnancy are not helping.
Favorite Color: I like alot of different colors. But my favorite is probably red. I used it at my wedding, to decorate my house and I love it on clothing.

X-rays: I broke my pinky in 6th grade playing basketball in my grandmas driveway. I also thought I had appendicitis once when I was in college. My roommate and I decided I had all the symptoms (We were both nursing students at the time). We went to the hospital and it turned out to be nothing. Blame it on nursing student paranoia!
Your Favorite Food: I love food and I don't think I could pick just one favorite. I love steak and potatos, a good salad (one with alot of cheese, eggs, croutons and ranch dressing), senora chicken, pizza and many desserts. My favorite restaurant-The Salt Grass- unfortunately only found in Texas.

Albertson's Bakery

This week Natalie invited us to go on a tour of the Albertson's bakery with a group of moms from her ward. The kids got to watch a cake be decorated, look in the big oven, see how bread is made, and taste the delicious cake frosting. Mom's did too! They also received a yummy chocolate chip cookie at the end. Thanks Nat for the invite!

We went bowling for a birthday party this week and it was so fun. I love how bowling is great for any age. Greg of course was serious about his game guaranteeing victory before we arrived. Payton was so excited even if she only knocked down one pin. She even got a Strike! I just have one complaint- what's with the shoes?

Jesus Wants Me For A SUNBEAM!

Yesterday was Payton's first day at Sunbeams. After shedding a few tears about not being able to play with the toys at Nursery, she decided she would go to Primary. She ended up loving it. She drew a picture, got a piece of licorice and told me she learned about good and bad. She said, "Mom if we pull on cats tails, that's bad. If we don't pull on cats tails, that's good!" I can't believe she is old enough for Sunbeams. They grow up so fast.

The Twilight Series

I can't remember the last time I read a book for fun, but everyone was raving over The Twilight Series by Stephanie Meyer. I received the set for Christmas and I have to admit I was a little hesitant to start when I saw the books were about 500 pages each! I finished Twilight in the first week and I read New Moon yesterday (I know. Greg calls me a nerd but I could not put it down!). I am excited to read the final book of the series Eclipse. I was surprised to find out how much I really enjoy reading so if anyone has any book suggestions please leave them on my blog!

I thought it would be fun to look back on 2007 and share some of our highlights. It was a fun year for us and we look forward to an exciting 2008!

HIGHLIGHTS
1. I had the opportunity to go to Hawaii with the RHS Cheerleaders for a competition.
2. We moved to San Antonio, TX for the summer where Greg worked for APX Alarm.
3. We went on a cruise to the Western Carribean.
4. We finalized our house plan and picked our lot (although we have yet to start on our new home :( )
5. We found out we are expecting a little girl in June!
